Xbox 360, The Hottest Game Console in The World

 

CALIFORNIA - Microsoft Xbox 360 is now consolidating its position as a home console game play in the world, with sales reaching the highest peak in the United States (U.S.) and outselling Sony's PlayStation 3.

As reported InternationalBusinessTimes, Monday (2/13/2012), Microsoft published the claim in The Official Microsoft Blog recently, citing the results of NPD research. According to research statistics, Microsoft's console managed to increase sales of approximately more than 270,000 units in January 2012.

The rating is a sign that sales of Xbox 360 is the highest selling console in the U.S., for 13 months without a break. And this means outselling the PlayStation 3 and Wii consoles in the U.S. market.

What is even more impressive is, statistical research shows that the Xbox 360 currently has a 49 percent market share of the current generation console sales. A figure that Nintendo hope will change when it releases its latest-generation Wii U at the end of this year.

NPD statistics also show that the Xbox 360 games excel in sales competition. NPD in particular highlight the strong performance of the game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, NBA 2K12 and Just Dance 3, which all have a place in the top 10 U.S..

News of the sale comes as the latest financial data from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, which shows the Xbox 360 has become the best-selling console in the world, not just the U.S..
