HP Tablet Windows 8 Launched This Year

CALIFORNIA - HP may have dumped the WebOS platform along with the hardware accordingly. But now in the leadership of Meg Whitman, HP is ready to try a new tablet.

Though recent rumors suggest that the WebOS HP TouchPad can be revived in 2013, the focus now is on Windows 8.

Slashgear preached on Sunday (2/26/2012), Whitman confirmed that HP is planning to release Windows 8 tablets before the end of this year.

Whitman said that the new tablet from HP Windows 8 will be based on Intel technology. The decision to go Intel, not ARM, ARM schedules relating to the edition of Windows 8 is still not confirmed.

About what the price of the HP tablet will compete with other competitors such as iPad, Whitman insisted that he was not worried. He does not believe that the tablet will compete, and said that he used the iPad to read books and watch TV, but not to use it to complete any work.

This suggests that the hard work of HP for Windows 8 tablets can be more oriented to the company, although the survey shows that companies adopting the iPad was running fine.
