Google Spread 27 Thousand Chromebook to School


WASHINGTON - Google's approach to the education community by distributing 27 thousand Chrome OS-based notebook, or known by the Chromebook to a number of schools in the United States (U.S.), in 41 states.

According to the Internet giant, this step will help to increase customer awareness of their portable computers and prepare for market base when Google tried to compete with Wintel notebooks or tablets and is also known as ultrabook.

Chromebooks is a mobile PC that has a minimum storage and work directly from the cloud (cloud). Files created and stored online, and applications used for these tasks the most part, cloud-based as well.

Chromebooks also quite lightweight and able to operate with far less energy than laptops in general. So that was launched through Digitalstrategy, Monday (01/30/2012).

Earlier this month, Apple is trying their luck in the book industry with a new application iBooks, which users can download an interactive book for their iPad.

Students will be able to read textbooks, take notes and turn them into flashcards, zoom in on image details or define words that are not known immediately.

Students can download apps and buy books through iTunes at a price of USD14, 99 or lower.

Apple is targeting high school students and has partnered with high school textbook publisher McGraw-Hill, Pearson and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
