OLED, the Future of HDTV

After plasma, LCD, and LED technology is now on the television screen into a new phase. In the exhibition the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the world's largest TV companies such as Samsung and LG introduce the television screen technology called OLED.
 
OLED or organic light emitting diode, technology is actually not really new. OLED is widely used by smartphones due to lower power consumption, size of the super-thin, and its ability to display sharper images, brilliant colors, and black is perfect.
 
But, before CES 2012, there has been no single vendor can ever bring this technology to screen OLED HDTVs are generally large-sized big.
 
Sony is already seeing the potential of OLED since 2007. Unfortunately, they were only able to create OLED screen for HDTV 11-inch maximum size. The price was very expensive at that time: reaching USD2, 500.
 
Well, in the CES 2012 electronics vendors finally found a way to make OLED HDTVs can reach a very large size: 55 inches. OLED TV sail appears in Samsung and LG's booth and immediately stole the attention.
 
OLED technology is different from the LCD, because each pixel can be lit by itself. In ILCD technology or LED-backlit, images formed on the liquid crystal layer. Then lit with LEDs on the sides or the back.
 
Well, not having an OLED backlight. So that its own pixel is black. That makes the screen black so it appears completely black, as well as power consumption also decreases.
 
Not only that, OLED's are so thin, until its thickness is only 0.6 inches. TV is much more clear and precise color accuracy it has also been equipped with smart technology interaction, Samsung Apps, 3D, and multitasking. OLED screens also have a wider perspective, which is not owned by the LCD.
