Lenovo ThinkPad X130e Targets Students


Lenovo is set to launch its latest Thinkpad laptop, which is being offered for classroom use. The ThinkPad X130e is ruggedly designed, making it ideal for careless students, and comes with all the features expected from a ThinkPad including a red pointing stick.
The kid-friendly laptop features an 11.6-inch screen shielded with 1.2mm of plastic on its bezel, an Intel Core i3-2367M processor, AMD Fusion E-300 and E-450 APUs, 2GB of RAM, up to 500GB of storage, Bluetooth 3.0, an accelerator to protect the hard drive, three USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, a combined headphone/ mic port, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, and a six-cell battery that lasts for up to 8.5 hours. The device also comes with RapidBoot technology, enabling it to startup in under 20 seconds.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X130e will be available beginning December 20 starting at $469.
